Yes! Our systems use energy-efficient LED lighting and optimized water circulation to minimize energy consumption and maximize yield. The biggest impact comes from cutting down on excessive fertilizer and pesticide use as well as bringing the farms closer to the point of consumption.

Yields vary by farm. On the low end, you can expect 25 pounds per month per ECO Living Green Wall. On the high end, you can expect up to 10 -12 tonnes per year in our 40' container farm. Our custom farms are not limited by size and therefore can yield as much you require.

There is obviously some work required, but our feedback from educators is that the hands-on use of the Just Vertical farm enriches the learning experience. Depending on size, the farms will take anywhere from 15 minutes to 1 hour of work for one person, per week.

Farm installation time varies dependent on the type of farm. Our smaller scale farms can be up and in operating in little as 15 minutes. Our larger scale farms can take anywhere from a few days to install to several months depending on the size of the project. With our container and custom farms, we work with you to ensure we meet your timelines on delivery.
