How do your systems work?

Here’s a quick, easy explanation of what happens and why it works.

How do our systems work?

You can learn more about our systems by reading about our technology and our process.

Is there funding available for a farm?

Yes! For technology such as ours, there are always new grants popping up.

There are also definitely financing options available for your green dreams. We partner with Harvest Today to provide financing options for new farms. To learn more, get in touch with a member of our team.

How much work is required?

Our systems are built with ease of use in mind. There is obviously some work required, but our feedback from educators is that the hands on use of the Just Vertical garden enriches the learning experience. Depending on size, the gardens will take anywhere from 15 minutes to 1 hour of work for one person, per week.

What kind of support is available?

We pride ourselves in being available. You can always reach our team at support@justvertical.com

What can I grow?

Let your imagination run wild. You can grow nearly every variety of herbs and leafy greens, and many varieties of flowering plants.

How much research has gone into your products?

Our organization was started by two Masters of Plant Science - Kevin Jakiela and Conner Tidd. Research and development is behind everything we do.

We've found these farms to be perfect for communities.

Trusted reviews from growers and enthusiasts.

My favourite thing about the container is seeing all the fresh vegetables growing and just seeing how we can contribute to a sustainable future at Seneca College.

I go down there and see this wonderful room — the lights, the food that’s growing — and then I see people harvesting, and the pride they feel because they did this, it's incredible.

To be able to create indoor farms and to be able to hire women from the village to grow food, and then give that food away to refugees, that's an amazing impact.

Our seniors community is amazed that you can grow vegetables without any soil.

I think it's a very innovative approach to farming. It's almost impossible (or near impossible) to grow fresh produce in Kingston, Ontario, in the winter, and here we are in the middle of our community, growing produce to be donated right back to our local communities.
